The RaceAI in-car cellular gateway supports two SIM cards. Adding a second SIM lets you expand the connectivity options available to the car without adding another gateway.

This can be especially useful when cellular coverage varies between race tracks or when your team wants additional cellular capacity available in the car.

Activation + Monthly Service

Each SIM Requires Its Own Connectivity Plan.

The additional SIM card provides the gateway with a second cellular connection, but the SIM must have an active RaceAI Connectivity data plan before it can provide cellular service.

Activate Through Radio or LIVE

After installing the additional SIM in the SIM2 slot, activate and manage its RaceAI Connectivity data plan through your RaceAI Radio or RaceAI LIVE account for the car.

Monthly Billing Per SIM

Each active SIM has its own Connectivity plan, monthly charge, and data allowance. If both SIM1 and SIM2 are active, both Connectivity plans are billed monthly.

Example: If SIM1 and SIM2 each have an active 25 GB Connectivity plan, the gateway has two separate 25 GB data allowances available to it. Each 25 GB plan is billed separately each month.
RaceAI Radio + LIVE

The Gateway Serves the Car—not Just One Product.

RaceAI Radio and RaceAI LIVE use the same car-level cellular gateway. If both products are active on the car, they can use the same gateway and its active SIM connections. Adding a second SIM expands the gateway's cellular capability; it does not require separate Radio or LIVE hardware.

Important: The additional SIM card is for an existing compatible RaceAI cellular gateway with an available SIM2 slot. A monthly RaceAI Connectivity plan is required for each activated SIM. The Connectivity subscription is separate from the physical SIM card and from your Radio or LIVE software subscription.
